General Description of Position:

Performs clerical duties associated with the Bursar Office. This position reports to the campus Office Coordinator and indirectly to the Bursar. This posting includes multiple vacancies.

Major Responsibilities:

Serves as the first contact with students, faculty and staff regarding bursar questions and issues either in person or on the phone.

Responsible for all cashier related duties including receiving payments and entering them into Banner.

Responsible for reconciling daily cash drawer to Banner cashier report and correcting any discrepancies before closing out in Banner.

Responsible for processing all official transcript requests.

Responsible for applying all charges for proctored tests.

Processes payments received in the mail to student accounts in Banner.

Responsible for issuing parking and bus passes and maintaining parking and bus pass Access database.

Responsible for approving Student Computer Requests and maintaining Access database.

Perform all other related duties as assigned consistent with commonly accepted practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience. Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Good communication and organizational skills.

Position requires sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the College students and employees.

Fully supports the College s mission and strategic plan initiatives.

Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
